Although I can barely stand the smell of sulfur, this was a really *cool* place to visit! The formations made from the springs are incredible, and so is the landscape surrounding it. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy submersion in the hot springs because the air temperature was too hot for us, but I would plan on a dip the next time I visit!
We were at this state park in July for the solar eclipse. What a great park, and it's free entry! The granddaughters loved the pools and walking around the boardwalk to see the thermal site.
This park is wonderful. One of the best free Parks I've seen. Walk the springs and see the amazing mineral deposits. Go to the bath house and enjoy a free twenty minute soak- your body will thank you!
Three great hot springs in walking distance of each other. The state one is free but limited to 20 min soaks. The other two have very reasonable pricing. We visited the star plunge and paid $30 for two adults and a kid. This one also had the fastest water slide I have ever been on....
This is fantastic and the public pools are excellent. Water is piped to some of the area hotels too, which is nice. Fall or spring is the best time to visit. This is one of the smellier hot springs around, but that is just how it is. The water feel great on your skin and is very healing.
